Celebrating National Recognition for Our School

Celebrating National Recognition for Our School

We are incredibly proud to share some wonderful news with our school community. Our school has been recognised by the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, for our outstanding outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.

This national recognition places our school among the very best in the country and highlights the positive impact of our work in supporting every child to achieve their full potential.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition. This notable achievement validates the rigorous academic standards and the nurturing culture we’ve built at Dormers Wells Learning Trust across both our secondary and primary schools. For our learners to consistently perform significantly above the national average is a testament to their dedication and the high calibre teaching environments we provide. For our schools, this means we are on the right path in preparing our students for the future, and we look forward to building on this success for the entire Dormers community."

A Reflection of Our Community’s Dedication

This achievement is a true reflection of the dedication, passion, and professionalism of our staff, who work tirelessly to provide high quality teaching, care, and support for all pupils. It also celebrates the resilience, determination, and hard work of our children, who continue to show a love of learning and a commitment to doing their best each day.

We are especially proud of how our school community comes together to support disadvantaged pupils, ensuring they have access to the opportunities, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.

Recognised by the Department for Education

In her letter, the Secretary of State congratulated our school on being among the strongest nationally for outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. She praised the ambition and commitment shown by staff and pupils alike and encouraged schools like ours to share best practice to help raise standards across the education system.

This recognition affirms our ongoing focus on high expectations, inclusive practice, and continuous improvement.

Looking Ahead

While we are delighted with this achievement, we remain committed to building on this success. We will continue to reflect on our practice, strengthen our provision, and work closely with families and partners to ensure every child is supported to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. We also look forward to sharing our experiences and learning with other schools, contributing to wider school improvement and collaboration.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our staff, pupils, parents, carers, governors, and wider community for their continued support. This achievement belongs to everyone who plays a part in our school.

Together, we will continue to raise standards, nurture potential, and inspire our children to believe in themselves and their futures.

We are proud of our past, excited for our future, and committed to giving every child the very best start in life.
