What will i be studying?
This course will help you to develop and demonstrate a range of skills. You will study the following 6 Units, Unit 1 and 2 are compulsory Units;
- Fitness for Sport and Exercise
- Practical Sports Performance
- The Mind and Sports Performance
- The Sports Performer in Action
- Training for Personal Fitness
- Leading Sports Activities
HOW WILL THIS SUBJECT BE ASSESSED?
This is a modular course where you will be asked to complete 6 Units. With the exception of Unit 1 where it will be externally assessed by Pearson using an onscreen test, all Units are internally assessed and externally verified by Pearson.
Each unit covered will increase your learning of Sports and Fitness through practical tasks and knowledge and understanding of the tasks. You will be assessed on the quality and preparation of your completed work, which should be compiled in a very well organized and presented portfolio. To pass this course you must complete all the set tasks in the 6 units and the grading criteria for each task will be Pass, Merit or Distinction.

What can the qualification lead to?
